Meet Chelsey Bollinger.
Suite 155. Root Cellar Market.

It started with a "let's just take a quick peek" at a nearly 100-year-old root cellar in Pringle Creek. That peek turned into a shop, one built around the character of that building and a genuine belief that Oregon-made goods deserve a better home than a tourist trap shelf.

Every product at Root Cellar gets tested before it makes the cut. Nothing is filler. Everything is chosen because it's actually good, something you'd want in your own home, or something worth passing along.

The vibe is cozy. Unhurried. The kind of place you wander into and stay longer than you planned.

You might also be surprised to learn the woman behind the counter is a registered dietitian. If she's typing, she's probably charting patients between customers.

June isn't done with us yet.

Three things still on the calendar, and somehow they all keep leading back to Bonzai!

June 20, the summer menu drops. New drinks, new season, new reason to post up at the matcha bar.

June 21, It's Father's Day, and Make Music Day. Catch live music outside Bonzai. And while you're at it. (Peek our A Day with Dad post for everything else dad might want to do while he's here.)

June 27, Rhythm & Flow x Run Club Salem takes over the morning. 8 am start, 11:30 finish, DJs spinning, Bonzai waiting for you at the end of it. The afterparty is the best part, and everyone knows it.

Still so much summer left.

We'll be here for all of it.

Meet Chris Haley.
Suite 100. Black Label Marketing.

Chris didn't start an agency because he wanted to run an agency. He started it because he kept watching good business owners get taken. Great at their work. Terrible at being found. Paying thousands a month for reports full of numbers that meant nothing, and blaming themselves when nothing moved.

So he tested it himself. $150. A simple offer. Three weeks. $26,000 in revenue for a plumbing company he was running marketing for at the time.

That was the moment Black Label was born.
What he built isn't complicated, because it doesn't need to be. Get you in front of the people already looking for what you do. Make it easy for them to reach out. Make sure someone actually responds when they do. That's the whole game. And he'll tell you that directly, even when it's not what you want to hear.

He chose The Forge because he wasn't looking for an office. He was looking for a room full of people building something real. Salem is moving, and Chris wanted to be in the middle of it, not watching from the outside.

The dates worth circling:

June 5 — R&Bonzai. DJ EJ spinning R&B classics while you sip matcha, Japanese lagers, and sake. 7–9 pm.

June 20 — Summer Menu Launch at Bonzai. New season, new sips.

June 21 — Make Music Day. Music throughout the building. Plus Summer Solstice and Father's Day — reason enough to come down.

June 27 — Rhythm & Flow x Run Club Salem Summer Run Series. 8 am start, runs until 11:30. Afterparty at Bonzai with DJs spinning.

The kind of month where you wander in for one thing and end up staying for something else entirely.
