First time for everything! Mitigated a house that had an interior French drain system with a sump pump. These systems are notorious for being a source for radon intrusion. We also found another interesting intrusion point...floor access panel to the main waste line in the basement bathroom with exposed gravel and dirt. That alone might not contribute to high radon, but when you turn the exhaust fan on...the suction causes a negative pressure and pulls radon up into the basement level. We spray foam and layer over the gravel/dirt and allow for the waste line to still be serviced.

Virginia Radon Systems is looking for sub-contractors, part-time and full-time radon mitigation assistant/installer with advancement opportunities. Work week will be known 1-2 weeks in advance with the option to take on additional hours/installs as they come in. Looking for evening or weekend work? Contact us to discuss your unique schedule needs.
Experience with construction and power tools required. Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working with heights up to 25 feet, be able to work in tight crawlspaces and attics, work in all types of weather and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires being comfortable with the potential of working alone if needed.
Pay is based on experience, performance and efficiency with an average starting pay of $20 an hour plus daily bonuses. Experienced assistants/installers have the option for Pay For Performance and will be paid a fixed amount per install - the faster and more efficient, the better the pay per hour. Assistants have the opportunity to grow and become lead installers.
Absolutely NO smokers! This job exposes you to radon, the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. Respirators and ventilation of work area are required during mitigations.
Applicants must pass a background search, drug test and have a driver's license.
