A visitation for Julianna will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette Street, Salem, MA from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will take place Thursday morning, August 15, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Boulevard, Salem.

Hello Everyone,

As most of you know, everyone at Tache Real Estate has experienced a tremendous loss, especially me. First and foremost, my deepest sympathy goes to the Page, Trainor and Clyne families.

Lisa was my friend and I miss this wonderful person so much. Lisa passed away only 5 months ago and it still does not feel real. She was the backbone of our company and my day always started with a call to or from Lisa. I thank God for her loyal friendship and realized that He must have needed her, too. I just wish we could’ve kept her longer.

Lisa was the best. I love and miss you.

We are celebrating Lisa Trainor Page’s beautiful life on June 15. For those who knew her and how wonderful person Lisa was, please join us from 1-4 at Longboards.

Sixth Annual Holiday Marketplace

Salem Restaurateur George Carey today announced that the sixth annual Holiday Marketplace will take place at Finz Seafood and Grill and Sea Level Oyster Bar on Saturday, November 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Holiday Marketplace, an initiative that aims to highlight local artisans and small businesses that often compete with big business during the holiday season, will feature 23 local vendors between the two Pickering Wharf restaurants.

On the day of the Marketplace, business owners and artisans from Salem, Beverly, Lynn, Marblehead, Swampscott, and other North Shore communities will pop up at the two restaurants.

DrinksGiving – November 22, 2023

Celebrated the night before Thanksgiving, November 22 this year, DrinksGiving is the ultimate homecoming celebration. Local bars are packed as adults returning home for Thanksgiving weekend meet up with friends and family and catch up over drinks and laughter. It’s like a Springsteen song plays out in real life every year. Remember, drink responsibly and assign someone to be D.D. If you‘re driver is drinking…well...thank god for Lyft and Uber!

Santa Claus is coming back to town Friday night.

Santa will arrive in Salem atop the Hawthorne Hotel at 6 p.m. as part of the city's annual holiday season kickoff celebration.

Members of the Salem Fire Department will act as Santa's assistants as he welcomes the holiday crowd downtown with those attending recommended to arrive by 5:45 p.m. to enjoy the Coventry Brass carolers and more festive fun at the Salem Main Streets event.

Everyone is then invited to keep the singing going during a procession down the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall to Lappin Park where Santa and Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo will join for the tree lighting.

Costumed carolers from History Alive will provide seasonal serenades and participants are invited to bring their own lanterns — electric candles are highly recommended — for the procession.

The event is set to be held rain or shine — the weather is forecast to be chilly and clear — and is free. Organizers advise not to purchase tickets online for this event as those are a scam.

Rebekah H. Murphy and Jozef R. Kluczkiewicz of Salem have donated this year's tree, which was decorated by the Salem Department of Public Works and installed with the help of Iron Tree Service and Quinn Brothers Iron Works.

Salem Offers Thanksgiving Holiday Free Weekend Parking

Salem residents will be able to enjoy free parking throughout the Thanksgiving weekend as the city looks to promote shopping and dining at city businesses.

Parking in spaces at city-owned lots, garages and on-street spaces will be free beginning Thursday (which is free because it's a holiday) and then continuing on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Sunday.
