Yesterday, our communities were filled with love, laughter, and so many special moments as we celebrated Mother’s Day together.

From beautiful Mother’s Day brunches and flower-making activities to heartfelt visits from children, grandchildren, and loved ones, it was a day dedicated to honoring the incredible women who have shaped our families and communities.

Seeing generations come together, sharing stories, hugs, smiles, and memories, reminded us just how meaningful these moments are. We are so grateful to our teams for creating such thoughtful celebrations and to the families who spent the day making our residents feel extra special.

To all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother figures in our communities — thank you for your love, wisdom, strength, and kindness. We were honored to celebrate you yesterday and every day.

At Boone Ridge Senior Living in Salem, Oregon, residents recently welcomed students from Livingston Adventist Academy as part of an intergenerational THRIVE program. The impact was immediate and meaningful. These shared experiences create space for connection, joy, and mutual understanding—reminding us that it doesn’t take elaborate planning to build relationships that matter.

For residents, time with younger generations brings energy, engagement, and a renewed sense of connection. For students, these moments foster empathy, patience, and emotional awareness—skills that shape thoughtful, confident individuals.

We never need much of a reason to celebrate—but today was an especially fun one!

At Mosaic, we believe the heart of our communities is the people who live there. That’s why we love sharing stories like Lindamae Smith’s, a resident of Meadowlark in Lebanon, Oregon, whose resilience and spirit inspire us every day.

As a toddler, Lindamae overcame an extraordinary challenge after contracting German measles and scarlet fever at the same time—an illness she wasn’t expected to survive. Although she lost most of her hearing, the experience helped shape who she would become. Encouraged by a father who taught her to keep trying and supported by a dedicated teacher at her school for the deaf who modeled patience, Lindamae learned early on the power of perseverance.

Those lessons continue to shine through today at Meadowlark. Lindamae is known for her beautiful diamond art, her thoughtfulness toward others, and the genuine connections she’s built within the community. When asked what she’s most proud of, she shared, “How far I’ve come since moving here.”

We’re honored to share Lindamae’s story and to create communities where residents are supported, celebrated, and empowered to continue growing at every stage of life.
