Land Surveying company in Salida hiring fulltime bookkeeper/office manager with Quickbooks experience.
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and office manager to be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payroll, maintaining financial records and supporting office operations. Our business is small, dog-friendly and family-owned. Our employees are like family too!
The ideal candidate is organized, good at problem-solving and team oriented. Experience necessary in Quickbooks and office management. CPA would be ideal. Familiarity with construction industry/engineering/land surveying would be extremely helpful. This position would be primarily in Salida office during normal business hours, but with the possibility of some part-time remote work.
Benefits: Two-weeks paid vacation. 6 days paid sick leave. Employer covers 50% of health insurance. Simple IRA with employer match up to 3%.
Pay: $30-$35/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
• Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Track invoices, bill customers accurately and timely
• Pay bills and ensure that all payments are made on time
• File taxes, manage insurance documentation, and renew certificates when required
• Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
• Prepare and process payroll in a timely and accurate manner
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Conduct HR functions as necessary, such as researching or administrating insurance or other benefits
• Office support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, ensuring office supplies are stocked and office equipment is functioning. Occasional tech or account trouble-shooting
• Managing documentation for proposals, jobs and government licensing, as assigned
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, office manager or similar role within manufacturing and/or construction
• Familiarity with Quickbooks (desktop Pro) accounting software
• Experience with tax preparation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of team in a casual, family-friendly office
