Geminid Meteor Shower over Salida, Colorado

This is my favorite meteor shower of the year. It will peak tonight but it looks like it will be completely overcast so here is a photo I took last year with "Christmas Mountain".

Salida has a wonderful trail system...for hiking & biking! 🚶🏻‍♂️⛰️🚴🏻‍♂️

A “banana belt” is a region with a warmer climate relative to the surrounding area. Our valley is a classic example, as it sits in the rain shadow of the continental divide. That means warm, dry days late into the year—which in turn means more days to enjoy the trails! How have you made the most of the warm weather recently?
