The Grand on Julian is seeking to fill the position of maintenance technician. Full time preferred but part time may be considered. Please read all requirements before applying.
Qualifications (REQUIRED):
MUST live within a 15 mile radius of Salisbury, NC
1+ years maintenance experience (Apartment Industry Preferred)
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtain in the first 90 days of employment
Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Completes maintenance work orders (service appliances, plumbing, HVAC systems, minor electrical, etc.).
Responds to emergency requests after hours including weeknights, weekends and holidays
Prepares vacant apartments
Performs preventative maintenance
Light cleaning duties will be required: cleaning model, club house/leasing office, emptying trash, cleaning the grounds and common areas
Maintain all amenity areas (pool, trash compactor, fitness room, parking lot, etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to use various hand tools
Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time
Must be able to push and pull up to 300 pounds on wheels
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb ladders of up to 40 feet in height
Must be able to use a hand-truck
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday or as scheduled by Supervisor; some nights and weekend work required, on-call rotation every 2 weeks
