Big day at Western Sky Airpark! ✈️🏠

From two halves rolling down the highway to one home coming together right where it belongs. Today the crew is getting it set, leveled, joined and ready for the next phase.

It’s pretty awesome watching another homesite come to life at Western Sky. What was an empty lot not long ago is quickly becoming someone’s new home — with a runway just outside the door.

The equipment is moving, the crews are working, and Western Sky keeps growing one home, one hangar and one new neighbor at a time.

Early Friday morning, the second half of this home is loaded up and ready to roll. In about 90 minutes, it’ll be pulling into Western Sky Airpark to meet up with its other half.

Pretty wild watching a home come together this way—one half at a time, one oversized load at a time. By this morning, the two pieces will finally be back together and the next chapter of the build begins.

90 minutes ago the wheels were turning. Now the first half is officially parked at Western Sky Airpark! 🙌

Pretty incredible watching a vision turn into reality—one truck, one move, and one homesite at a time.

Next step: get the second half here, put it together, and turn this into someone’s new home at Western Sky!

After a lot of planning and preparation, the first half of a new home is officially on the move. In about 2 hours, this half will be parked at Western Sky Airpark!

Pretty wild seeing an entire house rolling down the road with an OVERSIZE LOAD sign on it. 😂 The next chapter at Western Sky is getting very real, very fast.

The last few weeks of strong winds, storms, and unpredictable weather have definitely put Salome and the surrounding area to the test.

Western Sky Airpark was fortunate to fare much better than many around us, but apparently our windsocks decided they had seen enough. 😳😂

They’ve done their job, fought the good fight…and now it’s time for retirement.

New windsocks are already on the way and will be flying proudly again within the next few days. ✈️

In the desert, you learn quickly: things get tested, things get repaired, and you keep moving forward.

💧 THE WELL IS BACK ONLINE & THE STORAGE TANK IS FILLING! 💧

After a few weeks of some pretty intense storm activity at Western Sky Airpark, Mother Nature managed to take out a few fuses, switches, and other components associated with our well system.

But thanks to a lot of teamwork, we’re happy to report that the repairs are complete, the well is running, water pressure has been restored, and our above-ground storage tank is filling back up! 🙌

We are happy to report, no resident went without water!

A HUGE thank you to Drill Tech, APS, and all of our partners and team members who jumped in to troubleshoot, repair, reset, and get everything operational again. We also appreciate all of our residents for their patience and conservation efforts while we worked through the storm-related issues.

These two photos were taken just a few hours apart today — watch that tank fill! 💦

Another challenge handled, and another reminder of what a great group of people we have supporting Western Sky.

Friday before Labor Day and there’s no slowing down at Western Sky Airpark. 🇺🇸✈️

Another homesite is officially taking shape.

🚜 Pad is being built.
💧 Trenches are dug.
🏠 Septic is in.
🌐 Fiber is in.
💪 Equipment is moving dirt.

Right now it looks like dirt, trenches and heavy equipment…

But soon, someone is going to pull their airplane up, open their hangar door, and call this HOME.

That’s what makes watching Western Sky grow so exciting. Every trench, every load of dirt and every new foundation is another step toward building something pretty special in the Arizona desert.

There’s something pretty special about the day a new resident takes possession of their hangar home located directly on our 3,500-foot runway.

The keys are handed over. The hangar becomes yours. The runway is outside your door. And the dream of living where you fly becomes reality.

But apparently this particular hangar home came with an upgraded security package we forgot to mention… 😂🐾

24-hour security. No monthly fee. Treats required.

From watching airplanes out the window to keeping a close eye on everything happening around the airpark, it looks like our newest resident already has security operations fully staffed!

What started as 52 acres of raw Arizona desert is quickly becoming the future of Western Sky Airpark.

We’re officially down to the last 10 acres of clearing and grubbing for Phase II! Once this final stretch is complete, all 52 acres will be cleared and ready for the next big step — laying out the vision.

Roads. Taxiways. Lots. Hangars. Homes. Infrastructure. The lines that have lived on plans and in our heads are getting closer to being marked in the dirt.

And there’s something pretty exciting about standing on this ground today knowing what it’s going to look like in the years ahead.

52 acres. One vision. And we’re just getting started. 🔥
