These numbers might help explain your pain if you're looking to buy a house in Salt Lake metro area and have been having a hard time. The number of homes actively for sale in July is way down, at only 60% of what it was last July in 2019. This, along with amazing mortgage rates, is pushing prices even higher -- about 10% higher than last year. Have you experienced any challenges looking for a home recently?

These shots of my own home were taken by the very talented and skilled . Selling my home has made me think twice about the entire listing and marketing process. After seemingly endless cleaning, repairing, gardening, painting and decluttering for too many nights after the kids were in bed, and after moving out for a weekend to show the house, I’m proud and grateful to say we received seven offers. We’re happily under contract with some fantastic buyers 🙌

Here are the latest numbers as of 5-2-20. Though active listings are down a bit from last year, prices are stable and buyers are active. With mortgage rates as low as they are, prices appear to remain strong, for now at least. I appreciate your questions!
