I thought the hard part of becoming an agent would be the exam. It was not the exam.

The hard part is learning to hold two things at once genuine excitement for someone’s next chapter, and the patient to let a process unfold on its own timeline. Some weeks are five showings and assigned contract. Other weeks are a lot of paperwork and a lot of waiting.

What surprised me most is how much of this job is communication. Setting expectations early, following up even when there’s nothing new to report, and being honest when I don’t have an answer yet.

To anyone earlier in their career than me, it is normal to fall behind. I’m learning in public, and I’ll take the lessons as they come.

Friday recap!!
