Hey! I am Susan Dickstein

I have been a resident of Utah for 30 years. I love that Utah has 4 true seasons that give you a true appreciation for nature and the blessing that it is to live in such a wonderful diverse state. I love my home; it gives me peace and tranquility in our busy world. I love landscaping and having my dogs play along side me while I work in the yard. I like the diversity we have in the neighboring cities throughout the valley. I love helping others create that feeling in their lives through home ownership and the richness a person feels when they have a place to hang their hat.

I get asked a lot, “What renovations are worth doing before selling?”

We talked about how important painting is in a previous post, and the importance of keeping those colors neutral. So if you can only do one thing, choose paint.

But if you’re looking for another inexpensive way to bring in those buyers, light fixtures are a pretty big deal.

I’ve been doing this a while and what I see a lot when I bring someone into a home is them noticing the lighting.

Light fixtures and bulbs are a big way to make someone feel welcomed in your home. Choose neutral styles and warm bulb tones. You can always do a quick search on what the latest trends are so that it appeals to more buyers.

Paint and light fixtures are a inexpensive way to get the best offer on your home.

It’s a BIG step, I get it. But with the cost of rent going up and the interest rates expected to rise this year, it might be the best decision for you and your family.

From what we can see, the price of homes are looking like they are going to either stay where they are or rise a little bit, so if you’re waiting for prices to come down, doesn’t look like that’s happening.
