Come along for a mid-construction walkthrough of one of our current projects. ✨

While it’s easy to focus on the finished reveal, some of the most important design decisions happen during construction. These site visits allow us to review details, solve challenges, and make sure the final result is exactly as envisioned.

Stay tuned—this golf course home is going to be a beautiful one.

One reason these spaces feel so warm and inviting? The wood tones work with each other, not against each other.

In the Avenues Cottage, you’ll notice rich walnut tones in the fireplace surround, piano, coffee table, antique nightstand, and original doors. While each piece is slightly different in color, age, and finish, they share a similar depth and warmth that creates a sense of cohesion throughout the home.

A common design mistake is trying to match every wood finish perfectly. Instead, we focus on coordinating undertones and balancing light, medium, and dark woods to create layers of visual interest. The result feels collected over time—exactly the character we wanted for this historic cottage.

The antique furnishings, vintage-inspired textiles, and original architectural details all tell the same story, allowing each piece to stand out while still feeling like it belongs.

Save this as a reminder: matching isn’t the goal. Cohesion is. 🤎

At Claybourne Avenue, the goal was never simply to create a beautiful outdoor space—it was to create a destination.

From intimate lounge areas to spaces designed for gathering and dining, every element was thoughtfully considered to encourage connection, relaxation, and effortless indoor-outdoor living. The best outdoor spaces feel like a natural extension of the home, inviting you to slow down, stay awhile, and enjoy the moments that matter most.

Pattern mixing doesn’t have to be complicated.

The key to successful pattern mixing isn’t matching—it’s balancing. We like to vary the scale of patterns while keeping a consistent color palette throughout the space.

In this bedroom, combining florals, plaids, and textures add depth and something different to the design, but they work together because they share similar tones and create visual balance.

The goal isn’t for everything to match, it’s for everything to work together.

Why does this kitchen work so well?

It’s not one feature—it’s the thoughtful combination of lighting, materials, contrast, functionality, and personal details that create a cohesive design.

A reminder that good design is in the details ✨
When renovating our home, the stair railing wasn’t just a functional element—it was an opportunity to add character, preserve the home’s charm, and create a feature that feels intentional from every angle.

One reason why these spaces work so well? Lighting.

One of the most overlooked design elements is also one of the most impactful. The right light fixture does more than illuminate a room—it creates a focal point, adds personality, and helps define the overall feeling of a space.

A statement chandelier or pendant naturally draws the eye and adds visual interest, while layered lighting helps create the atmosphere you want. Warm lighting can make a home feel cozy and welcoming, while brighter, more focused lighting supports everyday tasks and brings energy to a room.

The fixtures we choose aren’t just functional—they’re an opportunity to tell a story. Unique lighting helps a home feel more personal, curated, and reflective of the people who live there.

When designing a home, we always think beyond the finishes and furnishings. The details matter, and lighting is one of the details that can completely transform how a space looks and feels. ✨
