Have you been curious about the current state of the Utah housing market? Our Chief Economist, Matthew Gardner, provides some crucial insights. With higher financing costs and a dip in affordability, some potential challenges lie ahead. However, this shouldn't discourage you!

Gardner believes we're nearing the market's low point due to several factors — notably, low inventory levels, a rise in pending and finalized sales, and increased listing prices. These aspects primarily favor sellers.

But, there's good news for buyers as well. With a potential stabilization in mortgage rates on the horizon and longer time on the market for listings, conditions could swing towards buyers' favor.
