Salt Lake City just took a major step toward becoming a global aviation hub. Delta Air Lines announced an order of 30 new Boeing 787 Dreamliners — and critical components for these jets are built right here in Salt Lake County, between Boeing’s Salt Lake City and West Jordan facilities.

Delta is already Salt Lake City’s largest carrier, and this move opens the door to even more international routes directly from Salt Lake City International Airport. Add in $430 million a year in Utah supplier contracts and an $18 million new cargo facility, and it’s clear Utah’s aerospace industry isn’t slowing down.

This is the kind of long-term economic momentum that shapes communities, and real estate markets, for decades.

Something big is happening near downtown Salt Lake City. 🇲🇽 Centro Civico Mexicano — the oldest Latino organization in Utah, founded in 1935 — is replacing its longtime home with El Centro, a $25 million community hub that will include childcare, a Head Start center, an art gallery, a black box theater, basketball courts, and more. This is exactly the kind of investment that makes Salt Lake City such a special place to live!

Kevin O’Leary just got approved to build a $100 billion AI data center campus in Box Elder County, Utah — and it may be one of the most significant projects in the state’s history.

The Stratos Project would cover roughly 40,000 acres and generate up to 9 gigawatts of power capacity. That is more than double what the entire state of Utah currently uses.

Supporters say it brings thousands of jobs and major economic investment. Critics are raising serious questions about water use, air quality, and environmental impact — especially given Utah’s already strained Great Salt Lake.
