Remember when discussing real estate data to always make the connection from the numbers to why it matters.

Here is a simple wisdom test to apply to data.

Why does this matter to me?
What does this information say about what lies ahead?
How does this effect my ability to sell or purchase?
What does this information tell me that I did not know?
What new challenges are we facing?

A popular "What would you rather" question was once again posed today. If you could choose between a garuntee of either 1 Million Dollars NOW, or 10 Million in 10 years, which would you choose?

I have heard many rationalizations for both choices. What is most interesting to me is not the choice, but the reasons I hear to support the choice. It is extremely revealing.

What is the difference in being a good baker and operating a bakery? What is the difference in being a great REALTOR and operating a Real Estate Business?

Stating the obvious, they are very different. Good bakers dont automatically become good business operators do they? So, how are you doing operating your Real Estate Business?

Here is a quick check up...

Do you have a plan?
What is your marketing budget?
How is your process from Lead to close and close to stay in tough?
How effectively do you utilize your available resources?
What is your next hiring need?
What can you do to increase the value of your business?
How effective are you at solving clients problems?
Are you able to take vacations?

This is certainly not an axustive list... but my hope is to spark some thought for possible improvement.

Planning makes possibilities more probable.

It's no surprise that it's a challenge for all of us to take the time to plan. Yet, we all know we are more likely to reach objectives when we do.

My suggestion is to schedule a weekly planning meeting. I know, I know... in the fast paced variable world of real estate this seems impossible. However, what is also true is that your business will benefit greatly from the time invested in planning.

If you miss a meeting because of a client demand, dont worry. Its the consistancy over time that will be the differnce makers, not the one time intense planning meeting. It reminds me of this quote...

"Intensity will never make up for consistency"

This important document was created to help Buyers understand the physical and financial condition of the Solar System.
Prior to this addendum we were dealing with Sellers who did not appropriately disclose the details and found themselves paying out monies for damages... and buyers who naively closed on properties with Solar not fully understanding what they were agreeing to.

The general Sellers Property Condition Disclosure was also updated to now include two new sections... 25 Solar Panel System and 26 Alternate/Additioanl Power Systems ( Other Than Solar)

Life.
My Thoughts On Gratitude.

It may sound simple and maybe even a little silly... but the habit of pausing in the morning to reflect on all the good things in our lives, has an amazing powerful effect to push out self-destructive things like... entitlement, low self esteem, isolation, loneliness and feeling powerless. Gratitude is a renewable endless reservoir of energy that fuels the positive activities of each day. Gratitude then takes the energy from these actives and re-depositis back into the reservoir.
