Sarah Ferguson, Interior Design Director at Denton House Design Studio, was recently featured in an interview with House Digest.

Sarah shared her perspective on how to incorporate classic and historical design elements into new-build homes in a way that feels layered, intentional, and timeless.

"The goal isn't to make a new home feel old — it's to make it feel timeless," Ferguson exclusively told House Digest. "I always recommend keeping the foundation of the home modern, with open layouts, functional kitchens, and smart home features, and then layering in classic elements through finishes and interior architectural details."

The key is balance. Ferguson shared, "I like to think of it as a balance, keeping about 70% of the home clean and modern, and layering in 30% of those classic elements.”

To properly incorporate classic architecture in your new build home, it's all about scale, variations, and balance, as you decorate with the vintage elements.

At Areté Collective and Loraloma, we are honored to support the Hansen Ukrainian Mission, with a portion of Loraloma homesite sales contributing directly to their life-changing work. Dell Loy Hansen has made a profound and lasting impact on countless families, and we are proud to be their partners in this mission.

On December 5th, Volunteer Day, a truly meaningful milestone took place in Ukraine. Dell Loy Hansen was awarded the Order of Merit, First Class in recognition of his unwavering support for Ukraine and his extraordinary philanthropic leadership.

The moment was made even more symbolic as the ceremony coincided with a large foster family moving into their new home, built through Dell Loy’s support of the Address of Childhood initiative by the Olena Zelenska Foundation.

Together, we remain focused on creating meaningful change for people, for community, and for the future.
