He entered the world of real estate to combine his vast list of skills, talent, and natural abilities while serving people. Jim currently is a member of the Appraisal Board for the State of Utah with the Division of Real Estate, and on the Board of Directors for the Utah Association of REALTORS®. He was awarded the 2012 President’s Award and the 2008 REALTOR® of the Year award from the Utah Association of REALTORS®, as well as the 2007 REALTOR® of the Year and Sales Person of the Year awards from the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®. Jim has also served as 2004 President of the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®, 2007 President of the Utah Association of REALTORS®, Director for the National Association of REALTORS® from 2003-2007, and Chairman of the Board for the Wasatch Front Regional MLS (utahrealestate.com). Jim is a passionate defender of private property rights and is a top contributor to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee, which supports both Republican and Democratic candidates who champion home ownership. He has been recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® as a Hall of Fame Member twice, and was the first in the state of Utah to do so. Jim graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Accounting. He is a native of Salt Lake City and especially enjoys spending time with his three children and two grandchildren, taking advantage of all the wonderful things that Utah has to offer. Besides skiing, snowmobiling, wakeboarding, hiking, and riding his Harley, Jim also enjoys restoring older homes and cars.
