July 2025 Update - Utah is still a buyers market offering more options and room to negotiate. There’s plenty of inventory, but slower sales activity. Interest rates are still hovering around 7%. Bottom line: more homes = more options, strong pricing = opportunity! If you’re thinking of buying or selling, let’s make a strategic plan to make your move.

My Why

Last year came quickly and with it, many changes and challenges. Challenges make you grow, or so we’re told. I am a mother to two amazing boys. From the first seconds that I held them, my life and heart belonged to them and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I wasn’t prepared for the changes that would come with parenting them (who is?), nor was I aware of how much strength I could muster up to actually pull through those challenges.

Kelton, my first born, is a joy in my life. Watching this child as he is becoming a man has been one of the most amazing processes to witness. There were many football practices and days spent skiing, or doing anything outdoors, each year progressively transforming from a boy to a young man. Part of this growing process is when a young man starts coming into his own, branching out just a little further each time, and eventually leading up to him coming to me for permission to go and live with his dad …. wait…WHAT?! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that one delivered a staggering blow, but still I’m here! (Yay for me!) On a more serious note, that event taught me things about myself that I hadn’t previously known and made me begin to appreciate my own strength and tenacity. I will not only survive, I will thrive with each new challenge.

My second son, Christopher, holds the other half of my heart. He is my last little one at home minus my 3 crazy dogs. He looks up to his older brother and is always down for a fishing trip with the family and friends. He will be ready to catch crawdads from the river or hunt unsuspecting creatures around the campsite with his pellet gun. He brings so much joy to my life with his sense of humor and his smile.

Any mother will tell you that the road is an adventure, a wild ride, an absolute game-changer. Raising two boys while working full-time, in the office and at home, is no easy feat either. Miraculously, I somehow managed to do it. My previous employer of 12 years, was an amazing man and was always flexible, allowing me to be able to be there and present for my kids. Yet, with all of the joy my children brought me, there was something still missing from my work life and I knew that it was time for my own next big adventure. It was time for a career, not just a job. Something to give me more meaning.
