The Barn Farmers Market

I love conversations with visitors to the Barn Farmers Market near and far.

Our market is open every Saturday at 20 West St. Charles St (Hwy 49) in

I hear, we are locals first time here, we drove from Amador County, we drove from Murphys.

Yesterday Dad, Mom, Daughter visited they were from Spain.

I asked if they had been to Yosemite and they said yesterday and made positive comments on our country and travels as tourists along hwy 49 North.

They stopped as they were attracted to our murals by John Turnbeaugh and the open market.

10,000 people a day travel thru San Andreas North and South.

If we set a goal of 10% of those travelers we could create an expanded economy in San Andreas.

New jobs, new retail with both locals and travelers.

Our projects have created 27 new jobs in San Andreas over the past 3 years that were vacant buildings.

We desire to join hands with the community to make San Andreas a better attraction.

Often its the simple things fresh paint, w**d cutting , landscaping and a friendly hello

Even Steve Hilton running for governor made positive comments about San Andreas and Murphys in his recent visit.

The backdrop mural where Hilton spoke was created by local artist John Turnbeaugh and leadership of the San AndreasMerchants and sponsors made this happen.

20 years ago is in the past, opportunities are knocking for a stronger viable community to share San Andreas locally with visitors and travelers.

The Barn Farmers Market opens at 9 am until 2 pm.

Today we have chair massage by donation a good way to start your Saturday.

Our vendors are eager to share fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs, produce, hats, textiles arts that make lovely gifts for young and old.

Sure want to thank all the vendors and supporters who made yesterdays event a success.

We had over 40 visitors and the effort of food preparation, conversation and variety of fun and laughter added to the evening.

Young and old blended together in our courtyard and sharing of potluck, barbecue, salads, meatballs, home made soup, fresh lumpia.

As the The Barn Farmers Market manager I am honored of your attendance and friendhip.

One attendee stated it was just what was needed as a community.

Others talked about the cusine.

No politics, no agenda, this was all about the heart of a community.

In the saying many hands make light work chairs and tables were put away and our evening further strengthens the community bond of the present and future of San Andreas.
