Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a day that forever changed America.
Today, we pause to remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders, firefighters, police officers, military members, medical personnel, and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
For those of us who remember that day, we remember where we were. We remember the disbelief, the heartbreak, and the fear. But we also remember what happened afterward.
We remember how America came together. โค๏ธ๐ค๐
Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers became family. Communities stood together. In one of our country's darkest moments, we were reminded just how powerful compassion, courage, sacrifice, and unity can be.
Twenty-five years later, may we continue to honor those we lost not only by remembering their names and their stories, but by remembering the way we stood together.
Today, we remember the fallen.
We honor the heroes.
We stand with the families who still carry the loss.
