Are you gearing up for the holiday season with Family and Friends?

Well let me introduce myself and my company! My Name is Zack, I am a San Angelo Native born and raised here. I love this community and always want to provide a top notch service to my clientele.

Since 2020 we have been lighting up San Angelo and the surrounding area with Professionally Installed and custom fit to your home Christmas Light Displays.

My company is Liquid Exteriors, we specialize in Seamless Rain Gutters and Holiday Lighting.
On our Christmas Lighting we make it a very easy process.

To start an estimate we will come and measure everything and give you the options that you are interested in. We can make any color combinations that you desire. We will design your project and give you a mock up photo example. Once you approve our design we will get you scheduled for installation. After the holiday lighting season we take them down (January 2nd-30th) and store them till next season.


Our prices range from $500 to over $9K+ for spectacular displays.

Some of my theories as to why Cast Iron plumbing may exist in a home built in 1978!

Note: This was a transition period for cast iron to be phased out and start implementing PVC as the sewage drainage system for new construction.

The foundation and cast iron may have already been been installed before the rules had changed and it was grandfather in.

The house may have been started being built in previous years and may not have been completed until after the rule had changed.

The builders were likely skeptical of a new product since previous products like Orange Burg were a total failure.

The builders may have been using up old materials that were already purchased.

Please note this is purely an opinion based piece from real world experiences from my personal life, a home that I lived in and being a home inspector.

I have found that PVC vents are often installed and cast iron exists in plumbing underneath the house. A home I lived in had one half the house with Cast Iron and the other half with PVC drains. Wild to think it happened. But it did.

The only way for a buyer to truly know what the drainage conditions are for a slab on grade home built before 1980 is to have a licensed plumber scope the lines with a sewer camera.

This doesn’t mean that PVC drains have zero problems. They have their fair share. But they do not deteriorate from normal usage like older plumbing systems do.

Hope this helps you understand a little more about plumbing systems and things to inform you and your clients about!
