14 years. ❤️🏡
This week marks 14 years since I started my real estate career, and somehow this picture puts that number into perspective better than anything else could.
When I started in 2012, the two “big kids” were 5 and 2. I was raising little kids, building a business, learning everything I could, and working hard to earn the trust of every person who gave me the opportunity to help them buy or sell a home.
Fast forward 14 years…
Those kids are now 19 and 16, we’ve added a sweet little one who is almost 2, and real estate has become so much more than the career I started all those years ago.
It’s a business I’ve built. A profession I’ve worked hard to become an expert at. And a responsibility I still don’t take lightly.
In 14 years, I’ve worked through very different markets. I’ve negotiated a lot of contracts, solved problems that definitely weren’t in the real estate textbooks, celebrated some incredible closings, walked clients through some really difficult ones, and learned that experience matters most when things don’t go exactly as planned.
This has never been a hobby or a part-time gig for me. Real estate is my career. My clients trust me with one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll make, and after 14 years, I’m still incredibly grateful every time someone chooses me to represent them.
A lot has changed since that first picture was taken.
The big kids got a whole lot bigger. We added another one. Lots of life and transactions happened. The real estate market has changed more times than I can count.
But one thing hasn’t changed:
I still love helping people get from where they are to where they want to be.
Here’s to 14 years of experience, relationships, lessons, referrals, friendships, and a whole lot of houses. 🏡
