Would a 5-bedroom home with a game room and hardwired CAT6 internet make your list? 👀

This is 8919 Taylor Grove ,78254. If you’ve been waiting for a home that gives everyone their own space while still feeling connected, this one might be exactly what you’re looking for.

🏡 5 Bedrooms
🛁 3.5 Bathrooms
📏 Over 2,600 Sq Ft
🎮 Upstairs Game Room
💻 Hardwired CAT6 Internet Throughout
🌳 Covered Back Patio

Built in 2019 and located near Culebra & 211, this home offers a functional layout that’s perfect for growing families, remote workers, gamers, or anyone who simply wants more room to spread out.

The primary suite is conveniently located downstairs and features a separate tub, shower, and large walk-in closet. Upstairs you’ll find four additional bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a spacious game room.

One of my favorite features is the home’s hardwired CAT6 internet system with a central hub, providing fast and reliable connectivity throughout the house.

The most expensive mistake buyers make with new construction often happens before they ever pick a floor plan.

Many people walk into a model home and immediately start imagining where the furniture will go.

They picture family gatherings.

The backyard.

The kitchen.

It’s easy to fall in love with the home.

But buying new construction is about much more than choosing finishes and upgrades.

The community matters.

The builder matters.

The incentives matter.

And perhaps most importantly, the lifestyle matters.

Two homes may look almost identical, yet offer completely different opportunities depending on location, schools, future development, and financing options.

That’s why taking a little extra time before making a decision can make a big difference years down the road.

Sometimes the best choice isn’t the first model you walk into.

It’s the one that fits the life you’re trying to build.

Most first-time buyers aren’t losing to other buyers, they’re losing to assumptions.

I’ve talked with people who have spent years believing they need everything perfectly lined up before buying a home.

Perfect credit.

Perfect timing.

A huge down payment.

So they wait.

Meanwhile, life keeps moving.

The interesting part is that many homeowners didn’t buy because everything was perfect.

They bought because they understood their options and decided they were ready.

The hardest step often isn’t buying the home.

It’s believing you can.

The biggest problem with many distressed homes isn’t the house, it’s everything that happened before it.

Sometimes a leaking roof gets postponed.

Then an HVAC system fails.

Then life gets busy.

Eventually one repair turns into ten.

I’ve found that many distressed properties aren’t owned by people who stopped caring. They’re owned by people who simply became overwhelmed.

Health changes.

Job changes.

Loss of a loved one.

Financial stress.

The house quietly becomes another burden.

That’s why every situation deserves a conversation instead of judgment.

Some homes should be renovated.

Some should be listed traditionally.

Some owners simply want relief and a fresh start.

Real estate is often less about houses and more about helping people through transitions.

The sales price isn’t always the most important number in a new construction deal.

Many builders are offering incentives that can significantly impact affordability.

Rate buy-downs.

Closing cost assistance.

Lot premiums.

Upgrade credits.

That’s why comparing builder incentives is often just as important as comparing floorplans.

The financing structure can change the deal dramatically.

One thing I’ve learned in real estate is that homes are often sold because life changes, not because the house is bad.

Some homes don’t need a remodel first , they need relief first.

When people think about distressed properties, they often picture major damage.

But most of the homes I see became distressed slowly.

A repair gets delayed.

A project gets started but never finished.

A room becomes storage.

Then years pass.

Before long, the amount of work feels larger than the desire to keep managing it.

The interesting thing is that many of these homes still have solid bones.

The challenge isn’t always the property itself.

It’s the weight of everything surrounding it.

For some owners, fixing the property makes sense.

For others, simplifying the situation creates more peace.

Every house is different.

Every situation is different.

But most distressed properties weren’t created overnight.

They simply became harder to carry over time.

Most home sales begin because life changed first.

People usually don’t wake up randomly wanting to sell.

Something shifts beforehand.

A move.

A financial change.

A growing family.

Or a property that no longer fits daily life.

Now the home becomes part of a larger transition.

That’s why every sale moves differently.

Some situations allow plenty of preparation time.

Others require speed and flexibility.

Some homes make perfect sense listed traditionally.

Others work better sold directly or structured creatively.

Most sellers aren’t looking for someone to “sell” them.

They’re looking for someone who understands the situation clearly enough to help simplify the next step.

Some homes don’t need a renovation first , they need relief first.

A lot of distressed properties slowly become overwhelming over time.

Usually nothing dramatic happened overnight.

Life just kept moving while repairs, clutter, and unfinished projects quietly piled up in the background.

That’s common with inherited homes, long-term rentals, and houses that have been owned for decades.

Eventually the property starts feeling heavier emotionally than financially.

Most homeowners already know the condition of the home.

They don’t need pressure.

Usually they just need clarity around what their options actually are.

Sometimes the right move is fixing everything up.

Other times it’s simplifying the situation and moving on as-is.

Every property story is different.

But most distressed situations begin slowly long before anyone talks about selling.
