Hello! The longer I am in my career, the more I realize that many people are in the same boat. There is nothing like feeling you are the only one with a question, so I have decided to start sharing tips and advice when I am noticing a trend in how people are feeling.

One thing I hear is "I want to buy a new home, but we are not ready." There are many reasons that people are not ready. It could be job related, life related, all kinds of things, and that is okay! Just because you are a year out from being ready does not mean to get started in a year. Start today!!

Here are a couple things that could be happening today, after meeting with a real estate agent, aka me.
1. Talk to a lender. It is NOT too early. This will help to have a plan in place and avoid surprises. I like surprises, but not when it comes to road blocks.

2. Plan for your down payment. There are costs associated with purchasing a new home. Start saving today! If you wait until you are ready to buy your home, if may be too late.
