GET YOUR HOME HALLOWEEN READY THIS WEEK

Halloween is coming and little visitors will soon be at your door. A strong cold front with gusty winds is on the way before the weekend, so this is the week to get ready:

1. Light the walkway: fresh porch bulbs and solar path lights, with every step easy to see.
2. Clear the path: cords, loose mats and decorations off the walkway for a wide, trip free path.
3. Test the doorbell: check your doorbell or video doorbell now and charge it this week.

And if that walkway is cracked or uneven, that is a pro job. First Class Remodeling builds strong, smooth concrete walkways and porches.

GOOD MORNING, SAN ANTONIO

Gas prices drop 14 cents in San Antonio

Regular gas averages $3.73 a gallon in San Antonio, down 14 cents in a week and below the Texas average of $3.82, according to AAA numbers current this week. GasBuddy checks in even lower at $3.68.

Weather: hot and humid today, then a strong cold front moves in before Friday. Gusty winds, Friday highs in the low 70s, and Saturday morning in the 50s. Homeowners, secure your patio furniture and Halloween decorations before that wind arrives.

Local good news: San Antonio rents are down about 5% from a year ago, one of the biggest drops for a large city, and our city keeps growing with more than 14,000 new neighbors.

What would you fix first at home? Tell us in the comments.
