Don't Get Scammed By A Investor!

When a investor conacts you by phone, online, or direct mail and wants to buy your home its sounds like a great idea, because they have cash for the purchase and the transaction will move quickly. However, homeowners should still practice due dilligence when approached by an investor because it could possibly be a scam.

It looks like the perfect deal: an eager buyer from overseas wants to buy your property sight unseen and sends a cashier's check right away.

This is the textbook setup for a Foreign Home Buyer Scam. The check is fake, but by the time your bank realizes it, the scammer has already convinced you to wire back "excess funds" for shipping or taxes.
