Well worth the read!!!! I was ALMOST suckered into a real estate fraud today. I got a text from someone wanting me to list their property in Bulverde Tx. After actually speaking to him, things just didn't seem right. I checked the county apprasial district, the name matched the property, (Which anyone can do as well). I checked a previous listing the Multiple Listing Service and that when it became much clearer. I called the old listing agent and she said it was total fraud. As an realtor, I have access to FOREWARN, an app where you can check phone numbers.... the name didn't match the land owner.
On a second note, please contact your local county clerk office and see if they provide the free service of notifying you about any deed transactions that are taking place regarding your property.
To other real estate agents, the fraud is getting bad.... make sure you always verify your clients. Sign up for FOREWARN through your MLS. See less

Bexar County offers a free Property Alert system called Vanguard Property Alert to help protect against property fraud. This system sends email notifications when a document is recorded in Bexar County's official public records using your name or other designated identifier. You can also access and search property records through the County Clerk's office and online resources to verify title information.

Check your county if other than Bexar to see if they offer the same service.

I voted today…. A few take a ways…. Texas has changed the ballot…. You will now pick a ballot rather than it being handed to you… ballots now have a serial number on the back… write the number down or make a mental note of the number… you will now be able to track your vote. Most importantly, once you vote please verify the review and the actual vote on your ballot before you put it into the counting machine. There was an error on mine and I had to vote again……

One week ago today, I had cataract surgery for my right eye…. Can’t be happier with the results!!! No pain and quick recovery…. If you have been identified as needing the surgery, go for it… only advice is if you had any lasik… please inform the surgeon before hand… its very important
