Yesterday was supposed to be a birthday watch party, Spurs game on, everyone locked in, just two minutes left.
Then everything changed…
A neighbor walked in and said, “I came because I knew y’all were here… and I know y’all have God. I want that. How do y’all talk to Him?” You could feel the weight and hurt in his voice.
In that moment, nothing else mattered.
The game didn’t matter. The noise faded. Time felt like it stood still. And right then, I knew the Lord had ordained that moment, for every single person in that room to witness what He was about to do.
We all stood up, laid hands on him, and prayed. Through tears, in a broken voice, he said yes to Jesus.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Heaven’s presence filled the room in that moment.
We may not have won the Spurs game… but heaven celebrated a victory last night.
It was a reminder of why we’re here, to live in a way that reflects Christ so clearly that someone else says, “I want that.”
Watching him broke me. It reminded me of my father… and gave me hope that one day, he too will have that same desire to know Christ.
My mom was there. She witnessed it. I saw her heart in that moment, her tears, her prayers, and it meant everything.
God is real. He is moving. And He meets people exactly where they are. A seed was planted long before this moment, and that’s why we’re called to share Christ with others.
I have seen God alive and active in my life, and I can’t stay silent about it.
Last night will stay with me forever… because I believe one day, I will see my father make that same decision. 🤍
