The rain came down hard yesterday, but it didn’t stop us from visiting our AHHM award recipient.

We spent time listening to his story, learning about his needs, and taking the first steps toward making his house a true home sweet home.

At AREAA San Antonio, we’re honored to give back to someone who has spent so many years serving others. Now it’s our turn to serve him.

🌟 AREAA San Antonio Community Service Update 🌟

While we’re already working on the next phase of the Alamo Heroes Home Makeover project, we have one important commitment left to fulfill: ABC Day.

As many of you know, we were forced to cancel our project on Saturday 23rd due to inclement weather. While the circumstances were beyond our control, our commitment to serving our community remains unchanged.

At AREAA San Antonio, we believe that when we make a promise, we follow through. That’s why we are rescheduling our ABC Day service project and honoring the commitment we made to our community partners.

📅 New Date: June 13, 2026
🎨 Project: Church Set Painting Project
👷 Project Lead by: Allen Lu & Nick Martinez

We invite our members, supporters, and friends to join us as we come together to complete this meaningful project. Service is one of the core pillars of our chapter, and we’re proud to continue making a positive impact in our community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission and continues to show up when it matters most.

AREAA San Antonio was honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for ARCSA – Asian Resource Center of San Antonio this morning. The event was made even more special as the sunshine emerged following a much-needed rain, symbolizing a bright future ahead for this important community resource.

We were proud to join County Judge Peter Sakai, former Mayor Ron Nirenberg, city leaders, community partners, and supporters in celebrating this significant milestone. It was also wonderful to see several of our AREAA San Antonio board members in attendance, showing our chapter’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift and empower the Asian American community.

Congratulations to the ARCSA founders and leaders on this exciting achievement. We look forward to seeing the lasting impact this center will have on our community for generations to come.

🇺🇸 Honoring a True American Hero – Lucas Braun 🇺🇸

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we introduce the hero of our Alamo Heroes Home Makeover Project, Lucas Braun, a retired U.S. Army Sergeant who dedicated 13 years of service to our country.

For over a decade, SGT Braun answered the call to serve, sacrificing his time, comfort, and safety to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Now, it is our turn to serve him.

They say home is where the heart is, and we believe every hero deserves a place that brings comfort, peace, and happiness. Through this home makeover, we hope to create a space that truly feels like Home Sweet Home—a place where Lucas can relax, make memories, and enjoy the appreciation of a grateful community.

This project is about more than improving a house; it is about honoring a life of service, recognizing sacrifice, and showing our hero that his commitment to our nation has not been forgotten.

We are deeply thankful to our incredible sponsors whose generosity and support have made this project possible:

✨ NSF Farm
✨ Rio Bravo Home Inspections
✨ Cantera Title
✨ Jefferson Bank
✨ Lone Star National Bank
✨ Wells Fargo
✨ Conventus Lending
✨ Security Service Title Company

Because of these amazing partners, we have the opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us.

Please join us in thanking and celebrating SGT Lucas Braun for his service, dedication, and sacrifice. We are honored to be part of this journey and look forward to transforming his home into a place that reflects the respect and gratitude he has earned.

Thank you for your service, SGT Braun. This community proudly stands behind you. 🇺🇸❤️

Part 2 ✨

As we continue reflecting on an unforgettable Installation Gala, we are reminded that the true success of the evening was not just the sold-out room or the celebration itself—it was the people.

The leaders who paved the way. The members who continue to show up and support our mission. The sponsors and partners who invest in our vision. The volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. And the friends and family who continue to champion AREAA San Antonio every step of the way.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Together, we are building more than a chapter—we are building relationships, creating opportunities, and making a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this evening so special. We are honored by your support and excited for the year ahead.

The AREAA San Antonio Installation Gala was truly a remarkable evening and a milestone moment for our chapter.

From a sold-out event to what many attendees described as one of the most memorable galas in our chapter’s history, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support that made this celebration possible.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, traveled, and celebrated with us. The energy in the room reflected the strength of our community, the power of our relationships, and our shared commitment to advancing AREAA’s mission.

We would also like to recognize the many past AREAA San Antonio Presidents whose leadership, vision, and dedication built the strong foundation upon which our chapter continues to grow. Each leader has contributed to our success, and we are honored to continue building upon that legacy.

To our Board of Directors, committee members, and volunteers, thank you for your countless hours of service and unwavering commitment. Your hard work behind the scenes brought this event to life and exemplifies the leadership that drives our chapter forward.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to National President Bryan Kap Ahn, President Paul Cruz Tecson of AREAA Inland Empire, and President Bobby Hong T. Luu of AREAA DC Metro for traveling to San Antonio and sharing this special evening with us. Your presence made the celebration even more meaningful and demonstrated the collaborative spirit that defines our organization nationwide.
