There is always more to learn in this world and I never tire of hearing all the creative ways people invest.

Being a business owner, in any industry, requires being a lifelong student in my opinion.

For those starting a business this year, or for the business owners out there, your mission statement and slogans are important.

How do you come up with a mission statement or a slogan for your business?

My advice:
- Get familiar with your core values. Write them down.
- The 3 components of a mission statement are purpose, vision, and values. You must have clarity on all three.
- Now write a sentence explaining what your company does, keeping your core values in mind.
- Next, write a sentence explaining HOW and WHY your company does what it does.
- Assess and adjust.
