What's up Wednesday!

We took advantage of the "Free Fishing Day" 🎣offered by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Each year, the TPWD allows anyone to fish in public waters without a license, and this year's edition was on June 6th. The City of Live Oak, Texas hosted a fun youth fishing day at the city park lake on Saturday. This was the second time I attended this event with the kids, and we had a blast (even if we didn't get lucky enough to catch a fish☹️). The kids both came away with a free tackle box and a fishing rod/reel combo that they won from the free raffle 🥳. We have already started planning our next camping trip to a state park so we can put their new fishing gear to use!

What's up Wednesday!

Friday was the last day of school for my kids, and it marked the end of my daughter's time in elementary school. My wife and I attended her 5th-grade graduation ceremony to celebrate the milestone and enjoyed celebrating her. She has grown up so fast, and while we are sad to see this chapter come to an end, we are excited to see what middle school has in store for her!
