⚠️ Water Heater Inspection Findings ⚠️
During this inspection, two important deficiencies were identified with the water heater installation:
• The overflow/drain pan does not discharge to the exterior as required. A properly installed drain line helps prevent potential water damage by directing leaks safely away from the structure.
• The flue pipe is not properly aligned directly above the water heater draft hood discharge. Improper venting can affect the safe removal of combustion gases and may create a potential safety hazard.
Proper installation and venting of water heaters are critical for both safety and long-term performance. Always recommend evaluation and correction by a qualified licensed plumber when deficiencies like these are observed.
