ATTENTION HOME OWNERS
Good information for those in the market as well.

While many already know the market has substantially softened, this notice is Bexar County notifying home owners that 196,000 of the 773,000 evaluated will receive a notice of increase in value.

Also note the last paragraph where you are reminded that anyone can file a dispute of value to lower the appraised value as long as it is file before May 16 deadline.

Many have a misunderstanding about this value. The Appraisal District places value on your home to apply the tax rate and calculate what you owe in property tax. This value, has nothing to do with the market value of your home!
