We couldn’t be prouder of Lorena Peña Henderson and her work in the community!
Meet the Board: Lorena Peña Henderson ✨
Lorena joined the Hemisfair Conservancy Board in 2020 and serves on the Board Development Committee. She is also a Realtor with The Peña Realty Group at RE/MAX Associates.
A fun fact about Lorena? After 24 years as a Realtor, she’s welcoming a new title this year: mom to baby Vivienne Rose! 💕
What she loves most about Hemisfair is that it’s a place where every child can simply be a kid. From the playground and splash pad to accessible amenities, Lorena loves seeing children from all backgrounds and abilities playing side by side. 🛝
After six years of serving on the board, Lorena says it’s especially meaningful to hear the laughter from the park while discussing Hemisfair’s future in the boardroom, a reminder of the “why” behind the work.
And what’s she most excited about? Tower Park! She can’t wait to see all three parks come together as an urban oasis and an anchor for generations to come. 🫶
