think the last time I was here at the Menger Hotel,
I attended a wedding reception.
That same couple who celebrated their
love amongst the ghosts is the same couple
founded Sisters Grimm.
Their business has evolved from walking ghost tours of Old San Antonio. They’ve inspired other similar tours and let’s be honest- there’s plenty of ghosts in the downtown area, the Alamo is less than a 5 minute walk!
Now they have a ghost tour bus and an Oddities Parlor with lots of witchy themed gifts like puzzles, card decks and books.
I spent a good little enjoying their air conditioning and their selection of trinkets.
I’d love to see some autographed copies of their book.
I hope you’ll visit them sometime!

The keynote speaker at the Texas Realtors conference in this past weekend was John Quiñones . His message was about empathy, humanity and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Even though he has so many accolades to his name, he talked about how he recently experienced a micro aggression at the airport, how him and his peers were physically punished for speaking Spanish and how his teachers didn’t believe that he was college material.
It was a good reminder that racism has and continues to warp our own perception of our culture and how important it is to see the humanity of others. I didn’t get his whole speech, but I hope you’ll watch what I got because it’s so good! Denise Mitchell

I really hope that when you see my posts and little videos you can sense my love for San Antonio 💖
Yesterday we visited the World Heritage Center.
The World Heritage Center is located at 3106 Roosevelt Ave.
San Antonio, TX 78214
and it’s FREE to access.
The museum is a multimedia exhibition featuring art and stories of San Antonio and the communities that have contributed to the culture of this beautiful place. I hope you’ll check it out. There’s a really good fruit stand across the street that you must check out too!
