Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Janitorial Supervisor to lead and oversee cleaning operations within healthcare facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors. As a supervisor, you will coordinate janitorial teams, enforce cleaning standards, and manage daily maintenance tasks with energy and precision. Your leadership will help maintain the highest levels of cleanliness essential for medical settings, fostering a healthy and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards in medical environments
Develop and implement cleaning schedules that meet healthcare regulations and safety protocols
Conduct inspections of patient areas, operating rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces to ensure cleanliness and sanitation compliance
Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, and safety procedures
Oversee specialized floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels and maintenance of tools
Enforce health and safety standards related to custodial work, including proper handling of hazardous materials
Experience
Proven janitorial or custodial experience within healthcare or similar high-standard environments
Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience in commercial or industrial cleaning settings
Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance
Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and preventative upkeep
Experience with residential painting or general custodial duties is a plus
Strong understanding of cleaning procedures for medical facilities to ensure compliance with health regulations
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
