Dear Residents,
Please be mindful of where you walk during cold weather. Ice melt will be applied to stairs, landings, and sidewalks shortly before temperatures reach freezing. Use caution at all times, and remember to use the “penguin walk” when surfaces are icy. Our office will be closed at 3 pm 01/24/26
To help prevent damage during freezing temperatures, please follow these important reminders:
❄ Drip Faucets
Run a thin, steady stream of both hot and cold water from faucets—especially those on exterior walls—to help prevent pipes from freezing.
❄ Open Cabinet Doors
Leave kitchen and bathroom sink cabinet doors open to allow warm air to circulate around plumbing.
❄ Manage Heat
Keep your heat set between 55°F and 65°F, even if you are away, to prevent pipes in the walls from bursting.
❄ Protect Water Heaters
Ensure all utility closet doors on balconies are sealed tightly.
❄ Insulate Windows & Doors
Use towels, blankets, or plastic film to block drafts around windows and doors.
❄ Fill Bathtub (Severe Freeze Only)
Filling the bathtub with water before a severe freeze can provide water for flushing toilets if pipes burst.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe and helping prevent weather-related damage.
Stay warm and safe,
Management
