Opening CONGO FALLS at the marks a greater, bigger, newer era! This exhibit is beyond world-class, and sets the bar high for future expansion and gorilla care worldwide.
Like Shakira says, the Zoo team didn't "give up or give in," and we reached the end (just to start again... on the next fundraising phase 😆).
Props to everyone on staff--from leadership to the incredible development team (I think I only know 's handle 😆😆), Julie, Kelly, Sarah, April, and everyone else, and our cream-of-the-crop animal care team solely dedicated to these 7 gorillas. I'm blessed to be a Zoo board member and am grateful for our incredible board of directors. Imagine having a vision for what could be created in these old hoof stock yards.
Be proud, San Antonio. Be very, very proud. Your Zoo is getting bigger and better every year. Congo Falls is just the beginning, and it puts us on the map in a whole new way!
