Hot off the press. As of this morning, it’s officially official: SL Home Group has joined PREMIERE.

Steve Lonnen and his team have already been settling in. Today, the rest of the industry gets the story.

And it’s worth reading. Steve didn’t come here to get started. He built one of Charlotte’s most respected luxury teams first. Nine years in the top 1%. A $45 million year in 2025. The second-highest home sale ever recorded in Canopy MLS.

Nobody joins a company for the culture. Everybody stays for it.

You’ll make the decision on the things you can put in a spreadsheet. The model, the systems, the numbers, whether the math actually works. That’s how it should be, and anyone telling you to follow your heart on a business decision is selling you something.

But two years in, the spreadsheet isn’t why you’re still here.

These people are all over the country, in different markets, and they have no structural reason to care about each other. Nobody’s compensated for it. Nothing requires it. Most of them will never sit in the same room as the person they texted back at eleven at night.

And they don’t just care about each other’s businesses. They care about each other’s lives.

They know whose kid just started kindergarten. They know who’s had a brutal month and isn’t saying it out loud. They check in on the ordinary Tuesday when nothing’s wrong and nobody asked.

That doesn’t show up in a recruiting pitch, and we’re not going to pretend it’s the reason you should come. It’s just what’s waiting if you do.

You’re not behind. You’re spread across nine things.

Social. Investors. Open houses. Sphere referrals. Luxury. Relocation. Farming. Portals. Whatever you added in March because someone told you it was working for them.

Now imagine one.

Not the one you think you should pick. The one that actually fits how you’re wired. The work you’d still be doing on a Friday afternoon when nobody’s watching.

Now give it every hour you’re currently splitting nine ways. All of it. Every Tuesday you’ve spent maintaining something you were never going to be great at anyway.

You can picture what that year looks like. Most agents never find out.

So why haven’t you?

It isn’t discipline. Nine areas at ten percent each is survivable, because none of them produce enough to bury you. One at a hundred percent produces more listings, more marketing, more transactions and more follow-up than one person can personally service.

Name the one thing you’re known for. Take your time.

That pause is the whole reason Focus Labs exist.

They kicked off this morning. Agents from all over the country got on one call, then split into rooms by the single part of this business they’re going deep on. Luxury. Relocation. Military. Open houses. A dozen more.

Nobody got assigned a lane. An assessment matched each of them to what they’re actually built for, and then they chose.

Dave put it this way when we were building these: you’re not coming to be fed. You’re coming to prepare the meal, cook it, and then eat it. Together. There’s a chef in every room, and that’s your moderator, there for oversight. Not room service.

That’s the part most training gets backwards. It feeds you, you feel productive for an hour, and nothing in your business moves. This one asks you to show up with what worked, what didn’t, and what you’re committing to for the next seven days. Every week. With people working your exact focus.

We’re proud to be at Real. We have been for a while now.
