Today has been one of those bittersweet days in real estate.

I lost a tenant of 11 years who passed away. He was always on time with rent and truly the kind of tenant every landlord hopes for. He will be missed. 😢

On another note, a tenant who was supposed to move out on 8/31 stayed until this afternoon and left behind half a house full of stuff and junk. It’s always an adventure in this business!

And to top it off, a client’s tenant called my broker, claiming I discriminated against her for not renting her a house I’m listing. What she didn’t mention was her 515 credit score and income. 🤔💭 Typically, landlords look for income to be at least 3 times the rent, not less than 2.5 times! I m a listing agent, landlord makes the decision!

Real estate: full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
