Aman has announced Amansanu, a new ranch-inspired retreat planned about 90 minutes from Austin. Designed by Olson Kundig, the project is expected to feature a spa, wellness spaces, hiking trails, dining concepts, racquet courts, equestrian facilities, and a limited collection of residences.

A new ConsumerAffairs report ranks the city 10th nationally for new home development, based on early 2026 data.

In just January and February, San Antonio saw:

- 1,815 new building permits issued
- 1,685 new construction home sales
- One of the highest rates of new-build sales in the U.S.

What makes this even more notable is affordability. New construction pricing is only slightly higher than resale homes, keeping entry points relatively accessible compared to many major metros.
