During my vacation in New Mexico, I came across this symbol again and again, in towns, along trails, in local shops, and on countless souvenirs.

It is the Zia Sun Symbol, an Indigenous emblem that represents the balance between nature, life, and spirit.

Its four groups of rays remind us of the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), the four directions of the world (north, south, east, and west), and the four stages of life (childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age).

Most importantly, it reminds us of the importance of keeping four essential elements in harmony: developing a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a commitment to the well-being of others.

Like the Zia Sun, life finds its greatest beauty when balance exists.

I love rivers, so during my morning hike in the mountains of Taos, I couldn’t resist dipping my feet in the water. After a few minutes, I could barely feel them—it was unbelievably cold! 😂❄️

And as if that wasn’t enough, I found my dream cabin for sale: a front porch, nearly an acre and a half, nestled at the foot of the mountains, and the ultimate bonus… just 20 steps from the river! 😭🏡🌲

I hope it waits for me while I break open my piggy bank. 😂🐷

Nope… I am definitely not a city girl. 😬❤️
