As Father’s Day approaches, I found myself looking back at this photo of my dad, my sister, and me.
My dad taught me so many of life’s most important lessons—work hard, be kind, show up for the people you love, and always do your best.
But like many families, we never sat around the dinner table talking about credit scores, mortgages, down payments, or how to build wealth.
And honestly… that wasn’t his fault.
He was doing what so many parents do—working hard, raising a family, and navigating a financial world that was changing just as quickly as ours is today.
Our parents gave us the knowledge they had. Now we have the opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and make sure the next generation starts further ahead.
That’s one of the reasons I love what I do. For almost 24 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping families understand the homebuying process, make informed decisions, and realize that homeownership can be possible with the right guidance.
This Father’s Day, I’m grateful for the lessons my dad gave me and the foundation he built for our family.
❤️ What is one money lesson you wish someone had taught you sooner?
