Every renovation has its surprises, and here’s what we uncovered: a Stop Work Order issued by the City of San Antonio’s Strike Team!
For those who don’t know, the Strike Team ensures all construction meets safety and compliance standards. When unpermitted work is found, they step in to protect future homeowners by halting further construction until proper inspections are completed.
So, what does this mean?
• For the Seller: Unpermitted work must be disclosed, and issues like this can affect a property’s value.
• For the Buyer: To move forward, we’ll need to open up parts of the home (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) so the city can inspect and confirm compliance. It’s a challenge, but also an opportunity to ensure everything is done right.
