This is 14 percentage points higher than at the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble peak.

This means ~41 cents of every Dollar invested in the S&P 500 flows directly into shares of just 10 firms.

~35 cents of every Dollar flows specifically into the Magnificent 7 group.

All while nearly 50 cents of every Dollar are now going into AI-linked stocks.

Mega-cap tech is all that matters right now.

A 30-year-old federal tax rule may be contributing to the nation's housing shortage by discouraging millions of homeowners from selling. The capital gains exemption, last updated in 1997, allows sellers to exclude up to $250,000 in profit if single or $500,000 if married, but home prices have more than tripled since then.

There are ways to handle a shortfall without a tax increase ……

Mecklenburg County, NC, is holding its property tax rate flat at 49 cents per $100 of assessed value in its proposed $2.6 billion fiscal year 2027 budget, despite a projected shortfall of up to $36 million.

County Manager Mike Bryant closed the gap by tapping $95 million in reserves and cutting existing programs rather than raising taxes. The budget includes $3.5 million in direct relief for qualifying homeowners and $730 million for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
