After two months, two different lenders, and plenty of perseverance, we finally made it to the closing table! 🎉🏡

Closing days are always my favorite, but today’s closing reminded me that being a Realtor means wearing many hats. 🎩🤭

Today I was a real estate agent, therapist, counselor, translator, cashier’s check delivery carrier, but most importantly… a prayer warrior. 🙏🏡

Right before closing, my clients received every parent’s worst nightmare—a call that their son had fallen and hit his head during a school field trip at a waterpark and had become unresponsive. In the middle of what should have been a joyful moment, this beautiful family rushed straight to the hospital.

By the grace of God, we still made it to the closing table with electronic signatures, and this sweet family is now the owner of a much larger home to fit their growing family. Party of 7❤️

Moments like this remind me that real estate is so much more than contracts and keys. It’s about walking alongside families through life’s biggest moments the joyful ones and the difficult ones.

Please keep the Cancino family and their son in your prayers tonight. 🙏

FYI -The deadline is approaching.

Did you know you have the right to protest your property value even without receiving an appraisal notice? Appraisal notices were mailed to new property owners and to those whose value increased by $1,000 or more from last year. If you protested your 2025 value, you may not have received one either. Regardless of whether a notice arrived in the mail, every property owner has the right to protest their 2026 value before the May 15, 2026 deadline.

2026 values and protest forms are available at bcad.org. You can submit your protest by mail, fax, in person, or online through the Help Center or the Online Services Portal. File early and contact our Help Center or call 210-242-2432 with any questions.
