Before you lock me away for using Zillow... hear me out! 😂

Confession time: I use Zillow too.

Before you revoke my REALTOR® card, Zillow really can be a great tool for browsing homes, comparing areas, and feeding that 11:30 PM “just one more house” habit we all know too well. 🏡

But there are a few places where I’d wave the caution flag...

🏷️ ZESTIMATE

Think of it like your bathroom scale. It’s a computer’s best guess.

It doesn’t know that one home just had a gorgeous renovation while another still thinks it’s 1978. And just like the bathroom scale... sometimes it’s wrong and we’d rather not talk about it. 😂

💰 MONTHLY PAYMENT

That number on the screen can look pretty attractive until insurance, HOA fees, MUD/PID taxes, financing costs, and other expenses show up to the party.

Surprise! They brought friends.

📍 LOCAL EXPERIENCE

Zillow doesn’t live here.

It doesn’t sit in San Antonio traffic, know what’s being built down the road, or walk into a beautifully “updated” house and quietly tell you...

“That might be lipstick on a pig. We need to take a closer look.” 👀

So my advice?

Use Zillow! I do.

It’s a fantastic home-search tool. Just don’t let an algorithm make one of the biggest financial decisions of your life for you.

Whether you’re buying or selling, having someone local who can verify the details, understand the neighborhood, and help you see what a website can’t makes all the difference.

Buying a home from another state takes more than sending a few listings and hoping one works out 🏡

Before these buyers arrived in San Antonio, I personally toured more than 50 homes and sent organized video walkthroughs so they could compare their options from a distance.
