Words can’t explain what you meant to me.
A love so unconditional, so pure, so rare.

You were my hero growing up — fighting cancer with strength and grace, a stage 3 breast cancer survivor who never stopped being strong for me. You sacrificed so much for me as a child and gave me everything I ever wanted. As you got older, I made sure I did the same. I wanted to show you how much I appreciated you. I worked hard to provide for you and give you everything you wanted — even when I thought some of those things were silly… I still got them for you, because they made you happy.

Today was the hardest goodbye of my life. Knowing I’ll never hear your voice again breaks me. You always called me your baby and would say, “I don’t care how old you are, you’ll always be my baby.” I will carry those words with me forever.

I promise you, Mom, I’ll keep making you proud. I’ll keep my promise to you and live in a way that honors everything you taught me.

I know you’re at peace now with Papo and Granny, watching over me.

Thank you for everything. I truly love you, and I will never forget all you’ve done for me.
