3️⃣ Countertop clutter — Less stuff = bigger, cleaner-looking spaces.

4️⃣ Extra furniture 🛋️ — Open up those rooms!

5️⃣ Everything on the fridge 😂 — Magnets, calendars, pictures… TAKE 👏 IT 👏 DOWN.

6️⃣ Super personal decor — We’re selling the HOUSE, not your decorating style.

7️⃣ Pet stuff 🐶 — Beds, bowls, crates + especially odors.

8️⃣ Bathroom stuff 🪥 — Toothbrushes, medications, bottles… put it away.

What happens to your home after you pass away can affect your family financially, emotionally, and legally.

Here are 4 things every Texas homeowner should understand:

🏦 MORTGAGE
The mortgage doesn’t disappear when someone passes away. Whoever inherits the home usually has to continue making payments, refinance, sell the property, or risk foreclosure.

📄 NO WILL
If there’s no will in place, the home may go through probate and Texas law decides who inherits it. This process can take months and sometimes create stress for families during an already emotional time.

🖊️ WILL
Even with a will, the property may still go through probate. A will helps communicate your wishes, but it doesn’t always avoid court involvement.

🔒 TRUST
Many homeowners place property in a living trust to help avoid probate and make the transfer smoother and more private for their family.

A lot of people focus on buying the home… but very few think about protecting it for the next generation.

Especially here in San Antonio where so many families are building long-term wealth through real estate. 🇨🇱🏠
