Today I received a 5-star review from a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, and it truly meant a lot to me. 🇺🇸
A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I come from a long military background. My father served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. My grandfather was a Pearl Harbor survivor in the United States Navy. My first husband served in the Army as well, so I understand firsthand the sacrifices military families make because I lived it as a military wife.
Years ago, I also worked at Fort Irwin NTC as a barber. I remember buzzing soldiers’ hair before they were deployed to war. Those moments stayed with me. The emotions, the uncertainty, the strength, the sacrifice… it gave me such a deep respect for the men and women who serve our country and for the families standing behind them.
Military life is not easy. Being a military wife was not easy. the fear of having your spouse in Iraq, the long nights, the emotional weight — it changes you. It also teaches you resilience, sacrifice, and gratitude.
Helping this officer and his family was truly an honor for me. Real estate is never just about houses. It’s about helping people navigate major life transitions, and for military families those transitions often come with incredible pressure and sacrifice.
To all of our active duty military, veterans, and military families — thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I see you, I respect you, and I will always go above and beyond to serve those who serve our country. ❤️🤍💙
